The Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA) is the elected student government representing the students of the Rutgers-New Brunswick Campus. This is the website of the Internal Affairs Committee.  Here you will find an archive of important legislation and other important RUSA documents. If you have any questions regarding this website or RUSA as a whole or you wish to request access to a particular document or for any other matter, please email chair (at) RUSA (hyphen) ia (dot) us.

In order to improve its own operations, the Internal Affairs Committee adopted its own committee rules.

Below you will find several important student government documents:

The RUSA Constitution, last amended in 2018 by referendum

Standing Rules as of Mar 2019 These rules govern RUSA procedure and other matters. They may only be amended by a two-thirds vote in accordance to the Constitution.

Additionally, since RUSA operates under Roberts Rules of Order in cases when there are no conflicts with the Standing Rules or the Constitution, this Special Order was adopted by RUSA to clarify the amendment process.

Another important document is the Elections Code, which describes the procedures under which RUSA Elections are conducted. The report on the Fall Elections Report 2018 is also available for review.

In other parts of this website you will find archives of previous Constitutions and Standing Rules, provided for historical purposes.
